Thomas Wolfe 8k

Pounding the pavement since 1976, the Thomas Wolfe 8k is Asheville's oldest timed leg race event. The event benefits the Thomas Wolfe Memorial, as well as Read to Succeed Buncombe County/ Asheville. The route starts in the heart of the Montford historic district and winds past iconic victorian houses, along the Reed Creek Greenway and finally into Riverside Cemetery, past Thomas Wolfe's final resting place, before heading back to the Montford community center. The registration fee includes a race T-shirt, chip timed race, awards and post race snacks.
