Golden Days

At Wild Wings, 161 Biltmore Avenue,  is Zander Stefani’s “Golden Days” mural. This location challenged the artist to design a composition that would be interrupted by several brick columns. Rather than approaching the wall as a series of 8 separate panels, he decided on an integrated landscape with fun flowers and ribbon running throughout. Zander often uses flowers in his work as a reflection of inner beauty – a reminder that to nourish our inner garden is to nourish our souls. 

At this stop be sure to notice the garbage dumpster.  As an add on to “Golden Days," Zander painted the dumpster to creatively disguise one of the more unattractive and utilitarian objects of our built environment.

Zander Stefani’s art is like taking a trip through a 1960s psychedelic daydream. Graduating from Savannah College of Art and Design in 2017, Zander views his work as a magical journey of the subconscious, always reflecting the truth of his inner psyche. With a great sense of adventure, fantasy, and surrealism he hopes to shift people’s reality, transporting them from the mundane into the wild possibilities of the imagination. Zander has contributed several works of art to the South Slope landscape.
